We maintain your systems before problems develop, and when we find something that needs attention, we tell you honestly, whether that is something we can handle or something that needs a specialist.
Assess
We start by looking before we touch anything. Your technician inspects and photographs the system before any work begins. You see the starting point. Nothing is assumed and nothing is hidden.
Treat
We clean and service to a defined standard. Every component that affects your system's performance and air quality is addressed. If we find something outside our scope, we tell you clearly and document it for a specialist. We never recommend a service you do not need.
Monitor
After every visit you receive a written report with before and after photographs and clear next steps. Annual Care Plan customers leave with their next visit already booked. We track your system's condition over time and catch problems before they become failures.

A wall or floor mounted heat pump Restore starts from $249 inc GST. A ducted system Restore starts from $375 inc GST. A multi-split Restore starts from $374 inc GST for two indoor units. Pricing is confirmed at booking. There are no callout fees and no hidden charges.
No. MiHT provides maintenance only. We do not repair and we do not install. This means we have no financial reason to tell you that you need a new system. If we find a fault during a visit we will document it clearly and direct you to a qualified specialist.
If you have one indoor unit on a wall or floor connected to one outdoor unit, that is a wall or floor mounted system. If you have two or more indoor units connected to a single outdoor unit, that is a multi-split system. If your heating and cooling comes through vents in your ceiling or floor from a unit hidden in the ceiling or under the house, that is a ducted system. If you are not sure, note what you can see when you book and we will confirm before the visit.
Cleaning the filter removes surface dust from the part of the unit you can access. A professional Restore covers the parts behind and beneath the filter where mould and dust accumulate over time and where a filter clean never reaches. These are the components that affect your air quality and your power bill. A Restore also includes a written condition report with before and after photographs so you have a clear record of the work done.
For most systems in year-round use, annual professional servicing is the standard. Systems in homes with pets, high dust levels, or occupants with respiratory sensitivities benefit from more frequent care. Between professional visits, cleaning the visible filter every four to six weeks is recommended. Not sure where your system stands? Every finding from the visit appears in your condition report with a clear action against it. Some things are taken care of on the day as part of the standard service. Some need a return visit to address properly — we will offer to book that before we leave. Some are outside our scope entirely — we document those with photographs so you have everything you need for a qualified specialist. Some are worth watching but not urgent — we note those and recheck them at your next visit.
Yes. MiHT is brand agnostic. We service all major brands operating in New Zealand including Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Daikin, LG, Samsung, Toshiba, and Hitachi. We do not install or sell any brand, so there is no affiliation and no incentive to favour one make over another.
A wall or floor mounted heat pump Restore takes approximately one and a half hours. A multi-split Restore takes two to three hours depending on the number of indoor units. A ducted system Restore takes two to four hours depending on system size and ceiling cavity access. Time estimates are confirmed at booking.

Yes. You can cancel or reschedule through the link in your booking confirmation. We ask for 24 hours notice for any changes.
Yes. MiHT carries $2 million public liability insurance and $1 million statutory liability insurance. All technicians are background checked before working in customer homes.
